Kentucky Training Information

Our 36th Annual Statewide Master Clothing Volunteer Training will take place in CAVE CITY, KY at the Cave Area Conference Center.

Oct 19 – Oct 22, 2026 (dates for New Volunteers in the “Class of 2026”)

Oct 20 – Oct 22, 2026 (dates for existing MCVs)

Our October 2026 training is open to active Master Clothing Volunteers (Classes of 1990 through 2022), as well as to new applicants that are accepted into our Program (by June 2026). Applications for new volunteers will be available in your County in February 2026. Registration for the October Training will open in August 2026.

New Applicants:

Applications for volunteers with sewing skills who wish to become a Certified Master Clothing Volunteer (“Class of 2026”) and teach sewing on behalf of Cooperative Extension will be available in February 2026. The first year of training will be held in Cave City, Oct 19 – Oct 22, 2026. 

To earn Certification as a Master Clothing Volunteer, applicants accepted into our “Class of 2026” are expected to attend our annual Training in 2026, 2027, and 2028.
